Colony Playtest Experience
Starting out
Set up your colonist by filling out their Psychological evaluation form which will decide on their starting personality.
In the Colony
Narratively, we have set the play experience to start one day after arriving. You will have been given a challenge by the Colony Governor, Saraphina, to craft an item.
You will also start with a bunch of useful raw materials to craft items.
Crafting
First, you will tap the chat icon in the lower right. This is where you’ll talk to your agent.
The Colonist will provide examples of things they can make, but you should experiment and find something unique to make.
Directives and Stopping Activities
Your colonist operates in the way of goals (they decide on these themselves), and directives (commands you give them that they’ve decided to act on).
Eg. If you tell your colonist to craft something
Leveling Up
After completing each crafting or gathering session, tap on the colonist's portrait and press the level-up skills button.
This will increase the skills that you have been using, allowing you to craft more complex things.
Challenges
- Challenges are in the top left of the radial menu.
- Rewards: Experience, Scrip(currency), and Raw Materials.
PVP
You will have the opportunity to initiate a vote to engage in a PVP attack, initiate from the top right option of the radial menu.
- Make sure to craft weapons and armor first, your colonists will always using their best equipment for the fight.
- Takes place over multiple rounds and the attacker will raid the storage of the defenders if they win, but if they lost the defenders will take the gear of the attackers.
- Wounded Colonists need to rest up in the Medbay before they are able to get back to work.
Open Play
Chat, craft, and gather with your colonist.
Try out writing songs, poems, food, or anything you can think of.
This is still an early alpha. Much of the progression + agent features are still on it’s way.
Ion Storm Event
- After 24 hours of play, an Ion storm will roll in.
- 4 hours to complete that event.
- Craft and Install items with resistance.
- This will destroy the colony if the colony's resistance is not high enough.
- Note: You can’t start combat during events!
IMPORTANT: It’s Cappy’s job to install items to increase your colony’s resistance. Navigate to your inventory, and click the install button!
