Gameplay
The objective of the game is to reduce your opponent's health total to 0. Players begin the game with 30 health.
A deck consists of 40 cards.
A deck can be made of cards from one Parallel only but also include Universal cards.
Universal cards do not belong to any Parallel and can be used in all decks.
There are 4 types of cards.
UNITS: Creatures, constructs, and beings of all types that can occupy the board and engage in combat.
RELICS: Non-combat permanents that can occupy the board and have varying effects, be they persistent, activated, or temporary.
EFFECTS: One-time events that do something and then are wasted.
UPGRADES: A card type that attaches to a Unit on the Field and changes its Stats and/or Abilities.
Paragons are the generals of the Parallel universe. They are units which exist beside your board from the beginning of the game and offer a persistent passive effect to your deck. They can also be played to your Field for added active bonuses. Their passive ability remains in effect even if the Paragon would be destroyed in combat.
For any given card, in addition to playing it at its cost for its intended effect, you can also play it face down into your resource pool, called the bank. This is called "banking" a card and it increases your max energy by 1. If you bank a card, you draw a card at the end of the turn. You can only bank 1 card per turn and energy is refilled at the beginning of your turn.
