Team Spotlight: Swish Goswami, Head of Growth
We're thrilled to introduce you to the faces behind Parallel. Our Team Member Spotlight series will provide a glimpse into the work behind the people who drive our organization forward, showcasing their unique talents, passions, and contributions.
Today we are spotlighting Swish Goswami, Head of Growth & Marketing for Parallel.
What is your background?
Hey! Before joining Parallel, I was an entrepreneur at two different businesses. One was a media network for basketball fans, where we built 21 TikTok accounts with a total following of 11 million. In 2019, I launched a company called Surf, which was a consumer data platform that allowed users to get compensated for their anonymized data while giving brands valuable insights into their online behavior. I sold that business in early 2024. Now I’m the head of growth and marketing at Parallel working with some exceptional people. On the side, I run a Formula 1 podcast called Track Limits and have written a book on youth entrepreneurship titled, The Young Entrepreneur.
What is the coolest work you’ve done before Parallel?
The coolest work I’ve done before Parallel is definitely, starting and launching a consumer extension, Surf. We launched the extension in 2021 and within 12 months we got over 350,000 users, with about 60% coming from referrals—so the users were primarily people who loved our product so much they were telling others about it.
What has been your favorite contribution to the Parallel universe?
Everything we've done on the growth and marketing side. From setting up the strategy to organizing the team around that strategy to ramping up the strategy as our product has become more and more mature. Right now, we're in the middle of finalizing our mobile marketing strategy, which will kick off in early 2025 (spoiler alert haha). I'm very excited about all the pieces in this strategy, especially the influencers and celebrities that we're going to be activating. It’s going to be like nothing the Parallel or Web3 community has seen before.
What is something you are looking forward to in terms of Parallel?
I’m definitely looking forward to the mobile launch, which is a huge unlock for the growth team to make the game more accessible for those that don't have a PC. And I'm also looking forward to potentially attracting other communities in the Web3 and Web2 space to come and play Parallel with special incentives.
