SEASON 7: VAULT KEEPER // PATCH 0.26

Patch 0.26 Now Live

Patch 0.26 contains backend updates for Season 7, The Core integration, a new Match Avoidance Penalty system, some rule and card changes, and various bug fixes and more. Read below for more details!

Season 7 will introduce two new playable cards: Ilana, Keeper of the Vault and Astel’s Glaive.

New Cosmetics - Paragon Skins, Card Back, Card Frame, Title

Season 7 Title Achievement: “Keeper of the Vault”

Title: “Keeper of the Vault” can be earned by reaching level 33 within the Season 7 Battle Pass.

Each season we will continue to offer you new cards and cosmetics exclusive to the Battle Pass.

Battle Pass Cosmetic Upgrade Window Closing

Battle Pass Cosmetic Upgrades for Season 6 closes on February 7th at 7pm ET. If you intend to upgrade and mint the Card Back, Card Frame, or any Paragon Skins from this Season, please claim and mint before this deadline.

Noura, Hand of Unity

Noura, Hand of Unity has been re-enabled.

The Core

The Core is now supported in-game and can be equipped within the Keyframe.

The Core increases the number of PRIME earning games per day by one [top six wins instead of five] when equipped into a player’s Keyframe.

Gameplay Prime Emission Formula & Adjustments

After monitoring Prime Emissions throughout Closed Beta, we have taken steps to ensure the health and sustainability of the ecosystem by making adjustments to certain elements regarding gameplay emissions including changes to the Prime Emission Formula, Overclock Keys, and the highest rank multiplier.

Match Avoidance Penalty (Pending)

Players who attempt to exploit matchmaking or dodge unfavorable matchups in Ranked mode will now be given a penalty. When a player receives a penalty, they will have to complete a Ranked match to clear it. The player will not be able to earn any rewards until the penalty has been removed.

Supporting UI to better communicate penalties is planned for future stability patches.

Avatar Bonus Adjustments

If you own an Avatar, you will no longer need to have it equipped as your PFP in order to utilize its PRIME emission bonus.

The new requirements to receive the PRIME emission bonus are now: hold an Avatar in a wallet that is connected to your account + win a ranked game with the Parallel that matches the Avatar’s Parallel.

Paragon Change

Brand, Steward Eternal - Units damaged by Brand, Steward Eternal are no longer banished but instead removed from the game.

Old -> After this unit damages another unit, banish that unit transformed into a 4/4 Corrupted Vision.

Aftermath: Return all Corrupted Visions from your singularity to the field under your control.

New-> After this unit damages another unit, remove that Unit from the game and add a 4/4 Corrupted Vision to your singularity.

Aftermath: Return all Corrupted Visions from your singularity to the field under your control.

Bug Fixes

Baron Squire, The Vile / Engine Whisperer - Fixed an issue where effects created by Baron Squire, The Vile would not have their cost reset after entering the waste with Engine Whisperer on the field.

Bora, Wielder of Rage / Exposed Secrets - Fixed an issue where Bora, Wielder of Rage would hang on the field with 0 health after Exposed Secrets removed all of the cards from the Singularity.

Bora, Wielder of Rage / Unseen Allies - Fixed an issue where Bora, Wielder of Rage would not lose stats after a card was played out of the Singularity using Unseen Allies.

Desperate Measures - Fixed an issue where Desperate Measures would not waste a friendly banked card if there were no enemy units on the field to target when played.

Grove Altruist - Fixed an issue where Units that were destroyed at the same time as Grove Altruist would receive the healing from Grove Altruist preventing them from being destroyed.

H.A.D.E.S. War Mech - Fixed an issue where an error would occur after attacking with an upgraded H.A.D.E.S. War Mech.

Ishkur, Arak’s Enforcer - Fixed an issue where the “No Valid Card” message would not appear when all units on the field are upgraded when Ishkur, Arak’s Enforcer is destroyed.

Juggernaut Workshop / Artillery Juggernaut - Fixed the card ability choice text of Artillery Juggernaut to match the card ability description.

Nanobot - Fixed an issue where the “Activate” button would not properly display.

Nanobot / Upcycled Technology - Fixed an issue where the Upcycled Technology image was displaying on the card ability panel when triggering the Nanobot ability.

Noura, Hand of Unity - Fixed an issue where Noura, Hand of Unity would cause the game to freeze.

Noura, Hand of Unity - Fixed an issue where Noura, Hand of Unity’s Muster ability would offer players the ability to turn friendly units into “Pirates”.

Power Instructor / Cytokinesis - Fixed an issue where the game would load for extended periods of time after playing Power Instructor or Cytokinesis.

Reclamator - Fixed an issue where Reclamator would grant energy when on the field after a banked unit was wasted.

Reluctant Berserker / Malachite Shield - Fixed an issue when Reluctant Berserker attacked and damaged both players with Malachite Shield equipped that it would force the enemy player to reveal two banked cards instead of having both players reveal one banked card.

Romus, Recombinant Justician - Fixed an issue where cards linked to Romus, Recombinant Justician were not properly displaying Keyword icons.

Seer’s Stone - Fixed an issue where Seer’s Stone prompted a selection screen instead of allowing players to select a card directly on the field.

Seer’s Stone - Fixed an issue where Seer’s Stone draw animation was not correctly displaying.

Battle Pass UI - Fixed an issue with Battle Pass Progress Bar display.

Matchmaking - Fixed an issue where players would encounter a soft lock when entering into a game.

Rookie Mode Rewards - Fixed an issue activating Rookie Mode rewards.

XP Gain - Fixed an issue where XP rewards were not displayed after winning a match.

Note: 50+ additional backend bugs were squashed.

Quality of Life Changes

Added a new “Claimed” overlay on Battle Pass rewards that have been claimed. Updated the in-game store to accurately display item rarity. Improved Apparition Pack opening experience. Continued client optimization and stability improvements.

Known Issues

Hijack - Issue where enemy revealed Upgrade cards cannot be played directly when playing Hijack. Currently enemy revealed Upgrade cards will be played automatically once the timer expires. Card Ordering - Issue where the card order is reversed when inspecting the bank/waste/singularity. Damage VFX - Issue where the damage indicator VFX is displayed on both the card that is receiving damage and the card that is dealing the damage.

Season 6: Iron Reign Masterpiece and SE Raffle

Our raffle for Season 6 will occur after the first week of February. If you’ve minted or purchased the First Edition version of Ishkur, Arak’s Enforcer during Season 6 and continue to hold the cards in your wallet during the snapshot on February 7th at 7pm ET, you will be automatically entered for a chance at both the Special Edition [SE] and Masterpiece of Ishkur, Arak’s Enforcer. If you’ve minted or purchased the First Edition version of Noura, Hand of Unity during Season 6 and continue to hold the cards in your wallet during the snapshot on February 7th at 7pm ET, you will be automatically entered for a chance at both the Special Edition [SE] and Masterpiece of Noura, Hand of Unity. Winners will have their SE or MP sent to their wallet. Each card represents a chance at a Special Edition or Masterpiece. Season 7: Vault Keeper Masterpiece and SE Raffle

Season 7 will include a Masterpiece and Special Edition raffle for Ilana, Keeper of the Vault and Astel’s Glaive. More details for this raffle will be provided at the end of Season 7.

Notes from Game Team:

Why did we change Brand? There is some inconsistencies with the cards he created in the singularity and when and if they could be removed from the singularity outside his abilities. We decided to make the change so that all behaviors were the same.

Why no other changes? Closed beta isn't going to be closed much longer. To get ready for that we want to make sure we have as consistent and fair a game experience as possible. Despite my best efforts the game is in a pretty healthy place right now and seems pretty fair especially at the lower levels. We want to make sure we get the larger userbase in while this is true before I continue to shake the hornets nest.

When Planetfall? More PF info will be coming soon and card details will trickle out, but we need to save that content for game health. As we move into open beta we want to attract as many players as possible. If we are successful, and I know we will be, we want to make sure we use PF as a retention tool for maximum impact. That means getting those new people in and understanding the game before we dump a whole load of new cards on them. Its what's best for the health of the game and the ecosystem.
