The trading card game (TCG) genre has seen countless games over the years, from physical classics like Magic: The Gathering to digital powerhouses like Hearthstone. These games blend strategy, creativity, and collectibility, and they continue to attract players around the world. At Parallel, we aim to reimagine that experience, drawing inspiration from the great games that came before us and adding new layers of technology to enhance the player experience.
More than just a game, we’re creating a full-blown sci-fi experience, combining tactical gameplay with cinematic visuals, complete with deep lore, and a narrative that continues to unfold through our ongoing comic series.
In the competitive landscape of TCGs, we’re making our mark as a bold new contender. Built around a futuristic theme, Parallel challenges the very definition of what a trading card game can be.
What is Parallel?
Our story at Parallel began in the ashes of a cataclysmic event 10,000 years ago called ‘The Priming’. An event that forced humanity to abandon Earth and splinter into five distinct factions, the Parallels. Over those ten millennia, each Parallel evolved in diverse, radical ways—all in a desperate fight for survival—developing advanced technologies and philosophies far beyond the constraint of Earth.
However, a spark they once hoped for has ignited—unexpectedly—at their once thought long-lost home. But Earth’s profound transformation invites conflict, as each faction believes it is theirs to reclaim. Embodying their own ideology, strategic playstyle, and specialized card mechanics, each Parallel now battles for control of their once-lost planet. The result is a highly customizable and competitive gameplay experience that blends seamlessly with a strikingly original sci-fi narrative.
Meet the Five Parallels - Factions that continue to fight for survival
The Marcolian: A bold, militaristic faction that colonized Mars. Fueled by rapid technological innovation and an unyielding sense of pride, they embody control, aggression, and dominance.
The Augencore: Survivors turned engineers, the Augencore found their place among the asteroid belts. Heavily mechanized and deeply pragmatic, they live a nomadic lifestyle powered by relentless work and cybernetic adaptation.
The Kathari: Victims of radiation during their exodus, the Kathari settled on Europa and embraced cloning technology to preserve their numbers. Cold, precise, and methodical, they value survival and legacy above all.
The Shroud: Mystics among the stars, the Shroud follows the will of The Great One, a cosmic entity that transformed their colony. They blend zealotry with psychic powers, making them the most enigmatic of the five.
The Earthen: Those left behind on a devastated Earth were reshaped by a mysterious force known as the Miasma. Now deeply in tune with a reborn, verdant world, the Earthen draws power from nature, growth, and regeneration.
From the militant precision of the Marcolian to the tech-merged Augencore or the resilient and nature-bound Earthen, each faction offers a unique approach to building decks and winning battles that aligns with its lore and caters to diverse tactical preferences and philosophies. Whether your strategy is brute force, gradual control, ritualistic power, or adaptability, you'll find a Parallel faction that complements your ideals.
How to Play Parallel
Players build 40-card decks primarily using cards from their chosen Parallel (every player represents a specific faction), along with Universal cards and a Paragon. Each of the five Parallels features three unique Paragons, and the Paragon you choose will shape your deck’s overall strategy, as every Paragon comes with a passive ability that remains active throughout the match. Mastering these abilities and understanding how they interact with other cards is key to excelling in Parallel.
At the commencement of a match, each player starts with 30 Health. Players can use the mechanic of banking (sacrificing cards for energy) to gain health. If a player’s Health Points are depleted to zero, that player experiences defeat in the game. Effectively managing your energy and knowing when to bank cards is a core part of winning the strategic battle in Parallel.

Blockchain Integration That Matters
What truly sets us apart from traditional card games is our integration with blockchain technology, specifically Ethereum. Here at Parallel, every card a player purchases is minted as a non-fungible token (NFT), giving them true ownership of their collection. This isn’t just a gimmick; when players own a card, they can sell it, trade it, lend it, or even stake it, all because we’ve built Parallel around the vision of empowering players to invest in assets that can evolve, retain value, and be leveraged across other experiences within the growing Parallel universe—rather than spending money on cards they don’t truly own. It’s a fundamental shift in how players interact with their collections.
But we don't just stop at card ownership. We also introduced a native token called PRIME, which serves as both the in-game currency and governance token. And players can earn PRIME by winning in ranked games using their NFT cards.
