Open Beta Season 3 will introduce one new playable card: Cerulean Hunter Kalare.

Open Beta Season 3 Title Achievement: “Cerulean Hunter”

Title: “Cerulean Hunter” can be earned by reaching level 33 within the Open Beta Season 3 Battle Pass.

Each Season we will continue to offer new cards and cosmetics exclusive to the Battle Pass.

Planetfall Expansion Set Release

Hundreds of new card combinations await in Planetfall! This marks the first major expansion in the Parallel TCG. We can’t wait to continue improving the game and working with the community in making this the best game we can.

Reluctant Berserker - Ability Change

After this unit survives damage, it gains +1/+1.

After this unit’s attack or health becomes 10 or more, destroy it and deal 10 damage to each player.

New Ability:

Pacifist. After this unit survives damage, it gains +3/+3.

As long as this unit's attack or health are above 4, it loses Pacifist.

Rhetorician - Ability Change

Old Ability:

Activate, spend 2 energy: Friendly units ignore Pacifist this turn.

While in hand, reduce the cost of this unit by 1 when you are healed.

Sower of Unrest - Ability Change

All units ignore Pacifist.

Tactical Display - Ability Change

Old Ability:

After a friendly non-token unit enters the field, deal 1 damage to the enemy and heal yourself for 1.

New Ability:

After a friendly unit enters the field, deal 1 damage to the enemy and heal yourself for 1.

The Swarm - Stat Change

Rule Changes

Attuned Cards

When copying an Attuned card, copy its state (Awakened/Dormant).

Created Attuned cards should not trigger state-enter abilities.

Cards with “Deals damage/Dealt damage” Abilities

Deal damage abilities no longer depend on the survival of the unit triggering it.

Example: If a card has a deal damage ability, it will activate even if the unit is destroyed in the process of an attack. This is unless the card specifically states "and Survives".

Ilana, Keeper of the Vault

When a card’s health doesn’t change due to protection from “Cannot be destroyed”, it still triggers damage events.

Example: If a card is at 1 Health and Ilana’s ability stops it from being destroyed, the card will still activate abilities from when it receives damage. i.e. Mizra Loyalist

Bug Fixes - Cards

Artillery Juggernaut

Fixed an issue allowing Artillery Juggernaut to trigger its ability twice.

Backup Copy

Fixed an issue where if a unit was buffed and then returned to hand using Backup Copy, it would maintain its buffs.

Dana Silvertongue

Fixed an issue where players could not cancel Dana Silvertongue’s optional ability.

EMP Shockwave

Fixed an issue where EMP Shockwave would not properly destroy relics and or upgrades.

Gallian Orator

Fixed an issue where Gallian Orator’s energy cost would not update properly.

Scanner Probe

Fixed an issue where Scanner Probe would not be able to swap cards.

Seer’s Stone

Fixed an issue where Seer’s Stone was unable to destroy upgrade cards.

Shield Pod

Fixed an issue where Shield Pod could attack.

Shield Pod / Brand, Steward Eternal

Fixed an issue where Shield Pod would not create a Corrupted Vision when attacked by Brand, Steward Eternal.

Synchronicity

Fixed an issue where selection timeouts would result in a unit being played to the enemy’s field.

Miscellaneous

  • Upgraded Units Transforming into Copies of Other Transformed Units
  • Fixed an issue to not copy “continuous and or temporary” buffs granted by upgrades.

Bug Fixes - Launcher

Launcher

Fixed an issue where the Launcher window would scale incorrectly after changing the display resolution.

Known Bugs - Cards

Covert Assimilator

When creating a Corrupted copy of a destroyed unit with Covert Assimilator the Health of the Corrupted copy created may be improperly displayed as 0 Health when it is in fact 1 Health.

Gallian Recombinant

When creating a Recombinant Clone, it may gain the base stats of a damaged target-friendly unit instead of that target unit’s current stats.

Grove Altruist

When healing units with Grove Altruist it may cause an unexpected game freeze.

For this reason Grove Altruist has been disabled.

Nehemiah’s Faithful / Nehemiah’s Faithful

The Retaliate ability from Nehemiah’s Faithful may fail to trigger when attacked by another Nehemiah’s Faithful with counters.

Nullifier Acolyte / Arak’s Loyal Hammers

Nullifier Acolyte may banish itself again after moving into the Singularity if Arak’s Loyal Hammers is also on the Field.

Remote Explosives Drone / Arak’s Loyal Hammers / Shepherd of the Fallen

Remote Explosives Drone’s aftermath ability may re-trigger and attack onto the card that has been banished after it is placed into the Singularity.

Remote Explosives Drone / Arak’s Loyal Hammers

Remote Explosives Drone’s aftermath ability may re-trigger and attack onto the destroyed card after it is placed into the Waste.

Remote Explosives Drone / Arak’s Loyal Hammers / Synchronicity / Double Agent

Suncrusher / Kethtrexamine

When dealing “excess damage” with Suncrusher with the Kethtrexamine upgrade equipped the “excess damage” dealt to the enemy may not equal the correct “excess damage” dealt to the enemy unit.

Catherine Paragon Image

Catherine’s Paragon window image may disappear once she is played onto the Field.

Dialogue Pop-ups

Some dialogue pop-ups within the Tutorial may not dismiss when clicking directly on the pop-up but rather can be dismissed when clicking off of the pop-up itself.

Window Mode

Window mode may fail to switch to Full Screen from Borderless Window and or Windowed mode after reverting display settings changes.

New Card Variants Added - Prime Variants + Native Language

New card variants are live in game! This includes Prime Variants for Capital Ships, Comic Art and Native Language cards. Start flexing on the battlefield today!

Japanese Localization - Phase 1

Our latest build includes our first iteration of localization for the Japanese language. This is limited but available if your system language settings are in Japanese. We will continue to expand this to more menus and languages in future content updates. Please reach out to the team with any feedback on the feature!

Disconnect Penalty Re-enabled

We have re-enabled the early game disconnect penalty for Open Beta Season 3. This will come online on May 1st, 1 day after the season begins. We have many improvements to make but would like more feedback from the community as we build this feature out.

PRIME Boost - Companions

We will be enabling PRIME boosts for companions. This means using a companion and winning a ranked match will positively impact your PRIME earned. This feature will also go live days after the season begins. We will inform the community once it is turned on. Please note your companion must be in a saved wallet on your Parallel account, it does not need to be matched.

Least Played Parallel XP Bonus

We are adding a new XP modifier to Ranked Gameplay for winning with the least played Parallel. To see which is the least played Parallel, head to the ranked mode screen.

Planetfall Replication

Replication for Planetfall cards will be available in the coming weeks after May 1st. Our goal is to go live shortly 1-2 weeks after. We will update the community once Echo creation is available for Planetfall cards.

UI and QoL Updates and Improvements

UI - Card Pack Info - Added weblinks to card odds within the pack info screen.

UI - Card Readability - Adjusted gradient and increased text size for some elements.

UI - Game Field - Improved VFX for non-unit damage sources.

Welcome to the THUNDR-01 dome.

Super excited for Planetfall to come in and shake things up. With new cards coming in alongside some much needed balance changes, it's going to be a beautiful mess. Things are going to seem broken and others unplayable but what that really means is you haven't figured it out yet. It might also mean we haven't either. So don't be afraid and don't get too attached, things are bound to change. If you want to hear a little bit more about the team and the process know there is a new podcast episode coming this week. Just remember this time because its bound to be fun and exciting.
